Open Water Diving

The first level in recreational diving ranks and the most sought after PADI diving course. This program introduces you to develop the basic skills in handling your SCUBA equipment, diving procedures, and attitude on becoming a SCUBA diver. The learning experience from this course will be your foundation for the continuing education as a recreational and/or may be a professional SCUBA diver in the future.

What to expect from this course?

(1)The course will teach you the basic theory of scuba diving principles and adaptation to marine conditions, (2) assimilate practical skill performances in a stress free confined water environment, and (3) execute these learned diving skills in an open safe marine environment.

What are the prerequisites for taking the OWD Course?

  • Must be physically fit for scuba diving and able to swim.
  • Age requirement is 10 years or older
  • A parent or guardian’s signature is required on the first day of class for minors. A parent or guardian must attend class sessions with children less than 12 years old.
  • Depth: expect shallow dives (12m/40ft), the maximum allowed depth is 18m/60ft

What are the inclusions?

  • Processing of PADI Open Water Diver e-License.
  • Open Water Manual, Recreational Diver Planner (RDP) booklet and dive table.

How about my SCUBA equipment?

Our dive shop can lend you the basic equipment needed for your training, except for mask and snorkel.

For hygiene and health security reasons, we advise to invest on your personal diving equipment. To help you jumpstart on your new passion, we give 10% discount on selected diving equipment purchased during the course period.

The PADI Open Water Diver Course certification is only the beginning! Your next step is to become a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver, PADI Master Scuba Diver or PADI Divemaster.

Diving Community Advisory

All courses are taught in strict adherence to PADI (Professional Association of Diving Instructors) standards and prices. We keep group sizes small to ensure you receive maximum benefit from your tuition. This also minimizes negative impact on the reefs. Our emphasis is on safety, fun and personal service within a relaxed and stress-free environment.

Recommendation:
When planning activities, allow 18 hours after SCUBA diving before flying at 1000+ feet of altitude.
